Description Summary: The role of the Electrical Field Supervisor maintain the company’s high standard of quality installations and professionalism in the field during installations. This position assists the PM and project team in meeting customer requirements and deadlines. The Field Supervisor must demonstrate knowledge of all industry standards and have excellent troubleshooting skills.  This position will require travel throughout the U.S. year round so home location is flexible. 

Key Results: To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each area of duty satisfactorily. The employee must demonstrate a core competency in the following requirements, and other tasks as assigned by the employee’s immediate supervisor.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate competency as a Senior Lead Electrician/foreman skills.

  • Possess a current Journeyman or Masters License at the state level.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of all industry standards

  • Ability to travel—this job is 100% travel

  • Ability to read blueprints and comprehend SOW documents

  • Ability to lead the installation team to complete the installation on time and under budgeted hours

  • Ability to guide installations teams through install, either on site or through phone support

  • Communicate status of installations with the project team in a timely manner as required per project

  • Demonstrates advanced troubleshooting skills

  • Ensure that installs are completed correctly per the SOW and customer standards and that shortcuts are not being taken.

  • Serves as quality control resource for field technicians

  • Ability to work overnight shifts as required

  • Responsible for field deliverables for each site ( i.e. Pictures, signed checklists, As-Builts, etc)

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and computer skills.

  • Assist in the training of new technicians, as required

  • Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the Company and OSHA

  • Maintain the company’s high standard of quality and professionalism with regards to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior and appearance.

  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your Project Manager may assign


    Skills and Education Required:

  • Ability to write and speak effectively

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Ability to operate a scissor lift

  • Strong interpersonal skills- ability to persuade, coach, motivate and mentor field staff

  • Time Management skills-Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet project deadlines and daily deliverables

  • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities, client demands, and changing timelines as necessary

  • Ability to resolve conflict while maintaining positive relationships at all levels

  • Demonstrate an effective capability in problem solving and analytical thinking

  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure environment

  • Competency with Microsoft Office Products, Outlook, Word, Excel, Accubid, and Project.

  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC)

  • Knowledge and training of ARC Flash NFPA 70E,

  • Ability to build and maintain schedules and adhere to them with customers.

  • Knowledge of systems over 600 volts.

  • Proficient in use of test equipment.(Meggers, DVM’s, HiPot, and Ground testers.)

  • Knowledge in Heavy equipment operation a plus.


    Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Journeyman’s and/or Masters Electrical License or equivalent experience

  • Manufacturer’s certification or training classes in area of expertise


    Physical Demands:

  • This position requires the employee to regularly sit and stand, use hands and fingers, handle objects, and talk or hear

  • The employee is required to stand frequently

  • The employee is required to physically be able to participate on field installations

  • Ability to work long days/shifts (over 8 hours) to meet project requirements

  • Ability to perform work at high elevations.

  • Ability to travel for meetings and to monitor projects

  • Requires overnight work as required on the project
