Job Description

As Managed Services Sales Executive, you will guide a team that is charged with expanding Wachter’s Managed Service market penetration. This is a consultative selling role that engages with clients to solve time/business/technology needs leveraging shared services and NOC technologies.


You must be able to communicate with all areas of a company (both internally and externally) at director, VP, and C-levels. You will work with an engineering counterpart to define the best product/service set to offer each client. You will work with marketing professionals to expand Wachter’s visibility in the marketplace.  You will often work with National Account Managers in pre-existing client relationships as a sales overlay and must ensure that a cohesive client sales strategy is followed.


This role is strategic and deemed business critical by Wachter.  The role requires a high-level performer able to work with limited direction and in a collaborative environment.  



  • Managing the entire managed service sales cycle including:
    • lead generation
    • introductory meetings
    • requirements gathering
    • proposal creation/RFP response
    • ROI calculations
    • business value selling
  • Work in concert with and under the direction of the Director of Technology Services and Operations to define new services as driven by client needs
  • Function as a client advocate along with the assigned Engagement Manager to ensure that SLA expectations are met
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for the services


  • 3+ years of managed services sales experience.
  • Knowledgeable in technology – especially networking and physical security
  • Computer Science, Engineering, or MIS degree or work experience a strong plus
  • Cisco Business Value Practitioner certification is a plus
  • This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North America and Europe (25-35%).
