Large Electrical Contractor is accepting resumes for Instrumentation and Controls Electricians.  Looking for motivated self-starters.  Pay based on experience. 

 

 

Summary of Duties

 

Perform Instrumentation Services including being responsible for the calibration and maintenance of process instrumentation within a large industrial facility

 

 

Essential Job Functions and responsibilities:

  • Provide customer support to diagnose customer systems breakdown.

  • Work with other technical personnel to ensure proper installation practices for instrumentation and other controls devices as well as provide technical assistance in setting up and configuring these devices in the field.

  • Identify and inform customers of field devices and control systems that are scheduled for obsolescence and inform customers as needed.

  • Red-line and mark up existing P&ID’s and electrical schematics to ensure good As-Built drawings are completed.

  • Lead instrument checkouts and factory acceptance testing as required.

  • Team member must be able to work in a team oriented and safety conscious environment.

  • “Safety First” expectation include, but are not limited to JHA process.Observation process and compliance with all company / site safety guidelines and procedures.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have the following:

  • 2 year degree in electronics or professional equivalent experience.

  • Strong working knowledge of electronics and electrical systems.

    • Specifically, 480 VAC, 110 VAC & 24 VDC

  • Must have working knowledge of the following topics:PH, flow, temperature, pressure, conductivity an mass measurements, AC and D control methods, 24V – 480V electrical systems and trouble shooting, VFD’s, burner contr4ols, smart meters, PLC/DCS control methods, automated systems, load cells, control valves, blueprint reading, mathematics, and preventive/predictive maintenance.

  • Assigned tasks list to include, but not limited to testing, calibration, and repairs of pneumatic, mechanical electrical, electromechanical, and electronic measuring, recording, indicating, and control instruments / equipment

  • Ability to properly install, wire and configure various instruments and control related devices.

  • Ability to properly install, wire and configure VFD’s

  • Ability to get into an HMI development software package to identify bits and pieces

  • Knowledge of electrical schematic drawings and how to properly read them.

    • Ability to mark up as-built drawings

  • Knowledge of P&ID schematics and how to read them.

 

Experience in the following are preferred:

  • Familiarity with DeviceNet, ControlNet, Field Bus & Profibus communications networks.

  • Familiar with HART configurator hand held terminal.

  • Experience using Excel, Word and other common Microsoft Office Software’s.

     

     

    Physical Standards:

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push pull and reach overhead

  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 75 pounds

  • Tolerate repetitive continual movement of hands and feet

  • Climb ladders (all types)

  • Complete overhead work for full day assignments
