Job Description

Wachter is accepting resumes for an Electrical Project Manager.  Ideal candidates should possess industry experience and background in electrical project management including service, single-site projects, and/or multi-site project deployments in Commercial and Retail environments. This position provides project management and operational support.  Candidates must live close enough to commute daily or be willing to relocate.  Pay will be based on experience.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Sourcing, evaluating, and estimating selected bid opportunities
  • Create and maintain project files
  • Set project scheduling, assign resources, manage progress
  • Assist in project billings
  • Maintain Wachter’s high standard of quality and professionalism in regards to workmanship, customer relations, coworkers, behavior, and appearance
  • Adhere to all required project safety requirements as set forth by the company and OSHA
  • Perform any other duties not specifically stated herein, but which your supervisor may assign

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Minimum HS Diploma/GED; Journeyman Electrician License preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Service/Commercial/Industrial Electrical project and maintenance field
  • Travel as required by customers or job site location
  • Hands on electrical field experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical controls, instrumentation, and construction practices preferred
  • Experience working with estimating programs
  • Experience working with engineered drawings, bid specifications and construction take-offs
  • Highly proficient with use of computer
  • Ability to multi-task efficiently
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and follow-up skills
  • PMP Certification a huge plus
